Haha, that's really funny! I agree, it shouldn't have been pulled just because a couple of people complained.
But (queue me getting all lefty...) I do think the joke reflects quite badly on society. The message that some shades of masculinity are more acceptable than others isn't a particularly nice one. Could it propagate sub-conscious feelings of homophobia (or more specifically effeminism-phobia)? Or perhaps on some level it's saying that high-testosterone men are vulgar and aggressive as well as being stupid enough to idolise blocks of refined sugar and saturated fat?
Who knows. Seems a bit odd, but it achieved the objective of getting some attention. And it must have made people laugh, which is nice.
