Amazing

One of my first assignments was to go to Rachel Stevens' birthday and try and report back to the magazine I was working for.

I went with my friend Paul. We both got very excited and of course there was a mess up on the door with our names. We still made it in.

Nobody was really there. There was nothing to report, but I felt I should go and say hi.

I squatted next to her for thirty seconds as she ignored me and then her friend opposite her pointed at me.

She turned around and said hello.

I explained that I really liked her album, I worked for X magazine and had previously worked for blah, blah and blah magazine and then awkwardly said, 'It's amazing we haven't met before.'

I'm still cringing...
